In this hands-on workshop, with experienced film editor, Jordan Swioklo you will learn the basics of editing in Adobe Premiere Pro.
You can get creative by using different transitions, adding simple effects, titles and soundtracks. You will also learn key information about how to import and set up your project correctly, file types, file size and how to export your final cut.
No prior knowledge of editing is needed but basic computer skills will be assumed. Participants are encouraged to come ready with their own footage and any music tracks they wish to use. Royalty-free film footage and soundtracks will also be available for use, if requested prior to the workshop. Participants are also required to have Adobe Premiere Pro installed and working on their computer prior to the workshop. If you do not already own the software, please download a free trial.
Presenter

Born and bred in Perth WA, Jordan Swioklo completed her studies at Curtin University with a Bachelor of Screen Arts. In 2016, she made the move to Sydney to further pursue her career in editing. Currently, she is the in-house editor at Finch in Paddington, and works on an array of commercials, documentaries and music videos. She has a passion for drama and musical film, and hopes to one day forge her path into that direction.
